Our Story

A fusion born in the heart of Raval

For over 30 years, Flor de Maig has been a cornerstone of Barcelona’s vibrant Raval neighborhood just steps from Las Ramblas. We pioneered a unique culinary bridge between the aromatic spice traditions of India and Pakistan and the fresh, soulful flavors of the Mediterranean.

Family-run and warmly welcoming, our menu is offered in four languages with full allergen and vegetarian information because great food should be accessible to everyone.

Family created, family recipes, simply delicious. The food was absolutely delicious: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared with family recipes. Every dish was packed with authentic spices while still customizable to a wide range of tastes and spiciness levels. The menu is SO extensive, from traditional Spanish food to deep Indian/Pakistani culinary delights, making it perfect whether you’re craving a traditional curry, tapas, seafood, or vegetarian options. What made the experience even better was the warm hospitality. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and the service was attentive, friendly, and efficient from beginning to end. The atmosphere is relaxed, family-friendly, and a wonderful place to unwind while exploring Barcelona. It’s easy to see why this restaurant has earned such a loyal following over the years. If you’re visiting Barcelona and want an authentic meal away from the tourist traps, Flor de Maig is a fantastic choice. We had an amazing experience and will definitely return on our next visit.
